From Chinatown to Tanjong Pagar | From 3rd World to 1st

Sights Along China Town
This week, we explored the historical commercial district of Singapore, the area around Tanjong Pagar and China town. This is not a typical route that an average runner will run and I will only recommend running during early mornings on weekends. There is so many traffic junctions that you need to cross and it is only during weekends, when the traffic is minimal, that you will be able to run across the streets without risk knocking over by a vehicle.

and steel structures
On the other hand, if you are a tourist looking to explore Singapore and staying at some of the hotels over at Tanjong pagar, this is a very good route to try out to explore some of the less visited spots in Singapore. There is quite a number of great breakfast spots to try out at China town's Hong Lim market, Tanjong Pagar's Maxwell market, Tanjong Pagar Food center and Amoy food center. For weekend runs, Tanjong Pagar food center will be a good place for breakfast as most of the other food centers will be close for business, without the usual Central Business District crowd.
